3rd Annual Photo Contest: |
This year’s photo contest – supported again by our friends at Pro Photo Supply - encourages you to take the time to really look at the artistry in our built environment. Photographers of all sorts are invited to submit their images of architectural details they find imaginative, surprising, or eloquent in and on historic homes or buildings in the Portland area. Capture the “angels in the architecture” you might miss if you were rushing too fast.
Winning entries and seven Honorable Mention photographs will be unveiled at the Central Eastside Arts District First Friday Art Walk on September 5th.
The entry deadline is August 16th.

1st place $200 Gift Certificate from Pro Photo Supply
2nd place $150 Gift Certificate from Pro Photo Supply
3rd place $100 Gift Certificate from Pro Photo Supply
Honorable Mention seven Gift Certificates of $25 each
Winning entries and the seven Honorable Mention photographs will be unveiled at the exhibit opening reception on September 20th and remain on display in the AHC throughout the fall and at Pro Photo Supply's in-store gallery and website.
All entries must be received by 4pm August 16, 2008. Winners will be notified by phone.
Photo Contest SUBMISSION RULES:
Only photographs of homes or buildings located in the Portland, Oregon metro area should be submitted. Subjects need not be figural, but can be any sort of artistic architectural detail.
A photo contest entry consists of one 8”X10”print, labeled on the back with submitter's name, address, email, phone number, address of building photographed, approximate age of building if known, and a brief statement of why you selected it. No e-mail entries will be accepted.
Please include a donation of $5 for each entry. You may submit up to five photographs. Checks should be written to the Bosco-Milligan Foundation. Proceeds support AHC educational programs.
Entries may be dropped off or mailed to either location with your donation:

All entries become the property of the Architectural Heritage Center, which may, at its discretion, copy, publish, use, adapt, and/or modify entries in any manner, in any and all media, without limitation. Submitter does not relinquish rights to use photo in any way.
