Corporate Giving

If your company has a strong commitment to help preserve the historic character and livability of our built environment, The Bosco-Milligan Foundation can help you.  Your generous corporate gift will fund education programs and technical resource services that help thousands of people each year.  Your support will also facilitate training and collections conservation work and help further develop our programs to promote sustainability through the re-use of period homes and buildings.

The Bosco-Milligan Foundation offers a variety of opportunities for your company to get involved and we will work with you to customize a sponsorship to meet your budget and philanthropic goals.  We want to collaborate with you and here’s a sampling of what has been contributed in the past:

  • Grants for specific projects
  • Cash donations
  • In-kind gifts
  • Donation of labor, materials, and consultation
  • Sponsorship of a fundraising or outreach event
  • Sponsorship of an Historic Preservation Education Program
  • Support for collections inventory and conservation work
  • Technical assistance
  • Volunteers

A partnership with The Bosco-Milligan Foundation also benefits your company.  Today’s consumers want to do business with organizations that support social causes and are more likely to switch to a brand that supports issues they care about like empowering people in the Portland area to preserve both landmark buildings and the regular homes and storefronts that collectively define our neighborhoods, culture, history, and quality of life.  What’s more, a company's reputation factors into employee recruitment and retention.  By co-branding an outreach event, special training, or technical assistance program for neighborhood groups, your employees and customers will take pride in supporting projects that make a real difference in our community.

The Bosco-Milligan Foundation offers a number of opportunities for you to increase your visibility in the community.  We will announce your support at outreach events as a corporate sponsor -- or on communications such as our website, newsletters, and e-communications.  We will provide you with progress reports, photos, and human interest stories that convey how your support has been put to meaningful use.  In turn, you can use these materials to more effectively communicate your philanthropic efforts to your customers and shareholders.
