Preserving Traditions!

“Riches of the City” – Heritage Auction 2010

Saturday, October 16, 2010

Governor Hotel

614 SW 11th Avenue Portland, Oregon

The “Riches of a City” Heritage Auction is our most important fundraiser of the year!

Funds raised at the auction support the historic preservation educational programs and operations of the Architectural Heritage Center. This vital event couldn’t be accomplished without our dedicated Board of Directors/Advisors and our incredible army of volunteers.

We are delighted to announce this year's Honorary Chair is Oregon's First Lady Mary Oberst. Oberst’s passion for historic preservation runs deep and has earned her a National Main Street Leadership Award from the National Main Street Center in Washington D.C. for helping to restore the Oregon statewide Main Street Program which was developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. You can see why we are excited to have Oregon’s First Lady supporting our cause!

The auction committee is seeking members for a number of sub-committees essential for the success of our 15th Annual Heritage Auction. Committees are forming now – from procurement to decorations, there is a position for everyone!

For a list of current committees and the responsibilities, please click here . We are open to additional talents, so if you would like to participate please let us know.

These are working committees that attract project-minded individuals and people who like to work with them. No previous experience is needed. Committees generally meet monthly or as deemed necessary by the group. Come armed with your ideas and willingness to have a great time with other like-minded individuals.

Please contact Ita Lindquist via email or phone 503-231-7264.
