M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust Classroom

Located on the main floor, this room comfortably seats 50 and is ideal for a meeting or presentation. Chairs and a projection screen are included in the room rental.   Access to two adjoining exhibit galleries also make this classroom a great space for a social event. The room & galleries accommodate up to 200 guests for a stand-up reception.

The Burns Family Classroom

Located on the second floor, this room is accessed by stairway or elevator. Tall windows offer a sweeping view of historic east Portland. This space accommodates up to 60 people seated classroom-style and 100 guests for a stand-up event. Main floor Gallery access is included in rental. Includes service counter & sink.

CAPACITY:

  • Please feel free to contact us if you have questions about capacity.  These are general numbers and every event is just a little different.  We encourage you to stop by during our regular operating hours to view the space or feel free to make an appointment for a formal walk-through to discuss your event.   

RENTAL GUIDELINES:

  • It is your responsibility to set-up and break-down your event.  These responsibilities must be complete by the end of the rental period. Special arrangements can be made if additional time is needed.
  • All deliveries, pick-up of equipment, and supplies required for an event must be made within the rental period unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • General clean-up after the event is your responsibility.  Contained trash and sorted recyclables may be left in a designated area.
  • Additional charges may be incurred for any exceptional clean-up required.

CATERING:

  • Food and beverages are permitted in both classrooms and may be exextended into the galleries dependent upon the current exhibit on display.
  • We have a small kitchen available on the second floor at no additional cost.
  • You are responsible for securing the necessary event insurance.  Alcohol must be served by licensed OLCC servers.
  • A list of caterers, photographers, musicians, etc. is available upon request.
  • Recycling is available on-site.
