COLLECTIONS & RESEARCH

The Bosco-Milligan Foundation's collection of architectural artifacts is one of the largest in the western United States. The core of the collection consists of thousands of building pieces salvaged by Jerry Bosco and Ben Milligan. Bosco and Milligan established the foundation and donated their collection for public benefit. Today, the collection contains objects primarily from Portland, Oregon, but there are also some amazing pieces acquired by Bosco and Milligan from other states and Europe.

The collection varies in size from facades weighing hundreds of pounds to the smallest paint sample. Some of these collections are rare surviving artifacts of exquisite craftsmanship. Others are typical examples of common types of building materials. The collection includes not only elements of buildings, but also the tools used by craftsmen and architects to construct them.

The AHC uses the collections in our exhibits and educational programs. We continue to build our collections with donations that meet the foundation's criteria. Contact us if you have a donation inquiry.
