Portland’s Central Eastside neighborhood, which surrounds our center on Grand Avenue, is home to some amazing historic architecture. The East Portland/Historic Grand Avenue Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991, and its historic buildings are now home to design and furnishing stores, maker spaces, IT and creative businesses, and eats and drinks of all kinds!

The AHC is a Blue Star Museum.
We offer free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.
The AHC also participates in Museums for All: those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) get free admission.

Street parking is available around the center; please check the meters for information on rates and hours.
Bike racks are located on Grand Avenue near the front entrance.
Public Transportation: Tri-Met buses #6 and #15 and the Portland Streetcar.
