Portland’s Central Eastside neighborhood, which surrounds our center on Grand Avenue, is home to some amazing historic architecture. The East Portland/Historic Grand Avenue Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991, and its historic buildings are now home to design and furnishing stores, maker spaces, IT and creative businesses, and eats and drinks of all kinds!
Visit the AHC and spend part of your day touring what this neighborhood has to offer. You can pick up our guide to the history and architecture of the Central Eastside at the AHC or use this digital version to discover the past and explore the present of this district!
Exhibition gallery access is included with most rentals, providing a unique experience for your guests. We are happy to work with you to meet your specific event needs.
Rental rates depend on the day, time, and type of event.
A two-hour minimum rental time is required.
Renters are responsible for set-up and clean-up.
Outside catering is welcome by a caterer that is licensed by the State of Oregon and Multnomah County.
Guided tours of the building and speakers may be available by prior arrangement.
The Architectural Heritage Center reserves the right to review rental plans to ensure all events are compatible with the mission and purpose of our organization.
