Joey Klei

Joey oversees the Operations of the AHC that include: facility management, volunteer/docent program management, membership program management, office management, plus administrative support for the AHC.  He ensures a welcoming, pleasant, professional visitor experience along with planning and overseeing all vendor/contractors dealing with building maintenance and upkeep, IT systems, office workspace and facility rentals.  He also manages a pool of 100 volunteers who dedicate themselves in roles such as Walking Tour Docents, Guest Service Representatives, and numerous roles in conducting the AHC’s special events and Annual Gala.

Joey was born and raised in Michigan but has called Portland, Oregon home for the last twenty years.  He has always been curious about architecture but definitely is intrigued by history.  

When not working on a prodigious spreadsheet to keep things organized and moving forward, Joey enjoys spending time with his Whippet pal Zephyrus and working the boards at one of the local theaters.
