TJ Potter Steamboat Door
The door on display at the AHC
This historic 1888 door was originally inside of the extravagant TJ Potter steamboat. When the steamboat sank in 1920, it was moved to the Haida Hotel. (sometimes called the Seaside House.)

The Haida Hotel was built by Ben Holiday, railroad magnet and namesake of Holliday’s Addition in Portland. At the Haida Hotel, the door protected the safe room. This door is a special piece in the Bosco-Milligan Foundation’s collection and can be seen on display in our gallery!
