2025 Party for Preservation
On Friday, May 2nd, we gathered at the Ecotrust Natural Capital Building to party for preservation and celebrate our 20-year anniversary of opening the Architectural Heritage Center. We were joined by 180 guests, members, friends, donors, and volunteers, who enjoyed live music, custom artwork in our silent and live auction, as well as an award ceremony.
This was our first Hawkins Heritage Leadership award and was made in honor of Bill Hawkins III. It features his drawing of the cast iron columns from the 1886 Abbington Building, where Bill first met Ben Bosco and Jerry Milligan, the AHC’s founders. The Thompson Elk statue stands alongside as a testament of Bill’s long work for preservation. We are honored to give the first annual Hawkins Heritage award to Conners McMenamins, on behalf of his family’s long history of restoring historic buildings and artful adaptive reuse. When notified of the award, Bill said, the “choice of the McMenamins as the first awardees is wonderful. They have left an indelible mark on the fabric of preservation in the city.”
Many thanks to all who joined us to make the night so special and for all your support! View a few teaser photos below!
