Portland Park Lights
LOCATION: 11 parks across Portland
In 2024 Portland Park light poles and light tops were replaced in 11 Portland Parks as part of the “Light Pole Safety Project”. The concrete posts were as much as 100 years old and were becoming a safety concern. The tops were also replaced and converted to LED lights. The replacement lights are very similar in design to the original lights. Several of the vintage light post tops have found their way into the Architectural Heritage Center’s collection. A couple of light post tops are on display now in our main gallery.
